Dings Demagnetizing Coils provide a simple solution for demagnetizing materials in slurry flowing through vertical pipelines, or demagnetizing of precision parts. They are designed for exceptionally high capacity with low rated heat rise. Step winding is carefully carried out to meet these rigid design requirements. The use of fiberglass tape and polyester resin filler results in a sturdy protective surface which withstands severe impact and high moisture conditions. Waterproof demagnetizing coils are also available.

Demagnetize Pulps

Where pulps containing magnetic solids are classified or deslimed after discharge from magnetic separators, individual particles occasionally form magnetic floes which prevent proper hindered-settling action. Properly demagnetized, the individual particles freely meet the conditions and assure success of the operation.

Demagnetization coils are installed to provide free fall of the magnetic pulp through a flexible rubber hose through the coil core. The coil should be as close to the point of discharge of the magnetized pulp as practical to reduce the sped of the pulp through the coil.

Demagnetize Precision Parts

Precision ground, honed, or machined steel is often magnetized. This is especially true when a magnetic chuck or table is used to hold the steel parts. Magnetism in precision parts will cause chips and magnetic dirt to adhere. Such chips or dirt can cause scoring of moving parts and failure of equipment. Dings Demagnetizing Coils remove all magnetism from precision parts and prevent potential trouble.

To install, place the unit coil at a 45° angle and let parts fall through the demagnetizer. For continuous operation, install horizontally with a rubber conveyor belt moving through the coil.
