PPI Return Idlers

Return Idlers are used to support the conveyor belt as it cycles around to be loaded again. Standard Return Idlers are available with a steel roll and two drop brackets. In abrasive and sticky applications, Rubber Disc Return Idlers or Rubber Grooved Return Idlers are an option to aid in reducing material build up.

Description

PPI Return Idlers (R) are available with 4-1/2″ drop brackets unless 1-1/2″ drop brackets are requested. Rubber Disc Return Idlers (RRD) are constructed from abrasion resistant synthetic rubber discs and are generally used for applications where sticky materials builds up on traditional steel idlers. Rubber Grooved Return Idlers (RRG) possess the same material shedding characteristics and wear properties of rubber disc rolls with the added benefit of rubber that is vulcanized onto the steel tube with grooves machined into it. The single piece of rubber eliminates disc movement on the tube, ensuring proper disc spacing for the entire life of the roll.
