Description

QC1 Primary Belt Cleaners are tensioned at low pressure – roughly 2 psi (13.8 kPa) – against the belt. Low blade-to-belt pressure allows the primary cleaner to be positioned at a peeling angle against the belt. The use of higher pressure at this angle would endanger the belt, splice or cleaner itself. Primary cleaners are typically installed on the face of the head pulley, just below the
material trajectory. The cleaner is constructed to avoid material buildup and installed so that it is out of the material stream.

Features & Benefits

  • Manufactured with Martin Engineering’s unique Constant Angle Radial Pressure (CARP) technology, its curved blade simply cleans the belt better, minimizing carryback.
  • Patented blade design maintains consistent contact with the belt and constant belt cleaning pressure as it wears, so its effective cleaning performances lasts longer.
  • Overall cost of maintenance is much less because the blades last longer.
  • Manufactured with the strongest mainframe in the industry.
  • Use less urethane throughout the life of the blade, so less urethane ends up in landfills, making it a “greener” product.
  • Manufactured from steel, not aluminum, so it can be used for all applications, including underground operations.
  • The urethane of the blade is manufactured using proprietary equipment that ensures the highest quality possible and consistency worldwide.
