Bulk Pro Tramp Metal Detectors

Bulk Pro Tramp Metal Detectors

Bulk Pro Tramp Metal Detectors, when installed on a conveyor system, provide protection to downstream processing equipment by detecting the presence of potentially damaging metal objects. They are designed to detect all types of tramp metal, ferrous and non-ferrous. Metal splices and or repair clips can be used with these metal detectors and the sensing antennas are encased in high strength, compression molded fiberglass. These systems are rugged, lightweight, compact, and easily installed and maintained.

Description

Tramp Metal Detectors, manufactured by Bulk Pro Systems, are designed to detect ferrous an non-ferrous metals on a moving conveyor belt. Tough and reliable, they discriminate between conductive materials and metals, both magnetic and non-magnetic, ferrous and non-ferrous tramp metal.

  • Model 50 can be custom designed to fit any conveyor and works on magnetic and conductive ores and belts with rip detection antennas.
  • Model 100 is prefabricated to fit onto most standard CEMA conveyors. The aperture is adjustable up to 22″, which accommodates a maximum burden depth of 18″.
  • Model 5500 is a high sensitivity unit capable of detecting metal as small as 5/32″ cube. It is prefabricated to fit onto most CEMA conveyors.

All models are compatible with fabric and steel core belts. Whether you’re looking for large or very small pieces of metal, we have a tramp metal detector to suit your application:

  • Aggregates
  • Aluminum
  • Asphalt
  • Cement
  • Coal
  • Minerals
  • Paper
  • Steel
  • Tire recycling
  • Wood
  • Waste
  • And many others

When installed on conveyor systems, Tramp Metal Detectors provide protection to downstream equipment (cone, impact, and roll crushers; knives; presses; saws) by detecting the presence of potentially damaging metal objects.
