Description

Rhino Hyde Urethane Sheets provide lightweight, easy installation, excellent impact resistance, good low temperature properties, noise reduction, corrosion resistance and chemical resistance to aliphatic hydrocarbons, mild acids, and bases.

Appropriate application areas for include:

  • Round and square spouts
  • Chutes, ducts, flumes
  • Elbows
  • Belt overshot areas
  • Belt scrapers, skirt boards
  • Truck beds
  • Hoppers, bins, surge tanks
  • Conveyor troughs
  • Cyclones (velocities less than 4,000 ft/min)
  • Distributors, turnheads, impact pads

Rhino Hyde Urethane Sheets are typically sold in 4′ x 10′ sheets; rolls up to 100′ are available, as well as custom sizes. Different thicknesses and size are available. Special chemistries and hardnesses are available depending on the application and the environment. Our experts will help you select the right product and size.

Materials

  • Standard (Blue): Resists corrosion, abrasion, and chemicals in a wide range of temperatures. FDA compliant for dry bulk food handling.
  • High Energy (Orange): Long lasting, premium urethane designed for small particle impingement abrasion. Top choice for use in humid, damp, and wet conditions.
  • High Temp (Green): Recommended for operating range of 180°F to 250°F.
  • Fire Fighter (Burgundy): Resists flame propagation while providing excellent abrasion resistance. Only available with ceramic, expanded metal, or solid metal backing.

Backings

  • None (unbacked): Offers the maximum degree of flexibility for forming sheets into desired shapes.
  • Fabric: Designed for attachment to a substrate with an adhesive. Recommended for areas where bolting is difficult or undesirable and formability in long runs of round spouting is required.
  • Ceramic: Polyurethane embedded with ceramic chips offers the outstanding abrasion resistance of alumina ceramic with the impact resistance of polyurethane.
  • Expanded Metal: Provides a degree of rigidity, yet retains the desired flexibility of urethane to permit forming to shape. Attachment is recommended by bolting through the wear surface.
  • Solid Metal: Recommended where attachment through the wear surface is undesirable and flexibility is not required. The use of screws from the substrate into the solid metal backing is the recommended method of attachment.
